Outdoor Living and Entertaining in Hampstead
When the owners of this property decided it was time to revamp their rear garden, they turned to Francis Lefebvre, the main designer from Montreal Outdoor Living to come up with an inspired space-maximizing design. The brief from the homeowners was to design the rear garden to integrate the already existing pool ,blend it with the new concept, accommodate a playground area for the kids, install the lawn and outdoor entertaining areas, as well as being low-maintenance.
In response, Montreal Outdoor Living prepared a master plan for a cohesive design that is user-friendly, low-maintenance, family-considerate and compatible with the architecture of the home. “To meet the family’s various needs, we carved the garden into three distinct functional zones “, explains Francis Lefebvre. “The pool and sundeck, the lower lawn area, and the raised deck for alfresco dining, all of which have been positioned in a way that maximizes every square meter of the tight backyard,” he continues.
Like many people today, the owners wanted to spend their time outside enjoying themselves, not taking care of countless chores. This is why the lawn area is made of natural-looking, premium-quality synthetic turf. The plants are hardy and low maintenance, supported by an automatic irrigation system with rain sensors.
There was another must-have for the owners: a landscape that offered a sense of seclusion so they could entertain friends and family in peace and privacy. Thanks to the creation of Montreal Outdoor Living, what the owners now have is a relaxed outdoor retreat of contemporary design. A space where the planting is lush, the ambiance is tantalizingly exotic, and the opportunities for entertaining plentiful.
